Freedom Windshield rocks my world!

Freedom Windshield rocks my world view I had a 24″ tall Indian windshield, no mas. It sucked. Constantly found myself having to hide behind this flat, skinny shield ….. When a truck blew by or heck, when the wind blew in Colorado, found myself hunched over and ducking Looked at the 3 models on the vendor page and I really liked the flip design that Freedom Windshield has. My friend John, Triumph Thunderbird, has similiar and really coveted it. Got on line and ordered. 2 days later John at Freedom Windshield had ready. Beautiful Rocky Mtn ride up to Pine CO to pick up. Check it out, love it. 2 inches wider on either side and the air blows over me now. Like night vs. Day. No more ducking when going my usual 70-80. I can sit and enjoy my Corbin backrest. Highly recommend after only a 100 miles. Ride home was great, Pine to Deckers to Woodland Park and down the hill to Colorado Springs. Very windy day and the ride home was much more enjoyable. I wish I had this installed when I rode to Utah, Idaho, Wyoming this summer as the wind management is much improved. Check out the way it’s contoured, like a fine looking woman. Nothing like the flat POS that is the Indian OEM shield. One last shot…its nice and wide The Indian OEM shields are too skinny. The American Freedom Shields have some meat, really help with the wind blowing at you when you are going 90 up a mountain.

The quality is far superior than the OEM Indian windshield!

12 inch Light Grey Tint

Thank you for the new light grey 12 inch Freedom Shield for my 2015 Indian Chief. The quality is far superior than the OEM Indian windshield that I purchased when I bought the bike, and I LOVE the low profile look, the color, and the slight curvature of the top edge. After installation I took it for a long ride from Littleton, CO south on Highway 105 to Palmer Lake then back up I-25 to Castle Rock and then back home to Parker, CO. I was able to test the windshield from low street speeds and then up to 75 mph on I-25 for miles and all I can say is WOW, what a major difference!! Due to the slight “flip up curvature” on the top edge of your windshield there was no wind buffeting, nor was there any wind turbulence coming over the top and hitting me in the face. The wind was going up and then completely over the top of my head. Although I was wearing a helmet I could easily wear a ball cap and know that it would not fly off. And there is no distortion with the curvature. With this 12 inch windshield I can see right over the top which is perfect for my riding needs. As far as I am concerned you have made the ultimate windshield that every Indian Chief or Indian Vintage owner should have. In fact, your Freedom Shields should come as a standard OEM item on every Indian Motorcycle!!! Again, thank you for such a quality product for my Indian Chief!!

16 inch Clear

Dear John, (couldn’t resist), here are some pictures of the Springfield with the 16″ shield installed. I am one fussy, nit picky, son of a gun. I drive my self crazy. With that said I was absolutely blown away by the quality of your shield John. I can’t find one single detail that could be improved on. I do hate Styrofoam packing peanuts, they blow all over and are a mess to get rid off, but do to the quality of your product I’m going to forgive you this time. Do to my critical nature I seldom endorse anything, but I have been plugging your product on Indianmotorcycles.net. Good luck in business John, and good health and peace to you and your’s. David

That curve looks so nice with the flared front fender on these bikes.

So far so good!! The installation was a breeze and now that I have it on the bike I can honestly say I would have bought the shield based on the look of the flare alone haha. That curve looks so nice with the flared front fender on these bikes. I did take it for a short ride and only got up to like 60 mph but I’m pretty sure it does work better than the old shield as well.

12 inch Dark Grey Tint

The shield is AWESOME….less wind buffeting on my helmet then the stock shield. Drove about 450 miles yesterday so a bit dragging today..LOL. Only Springfield at this ride, not sure where they are hiding, had a lot of lookers and one other guy with a Scout who had one of your shields already, so word of mouth was passed on. Working on getting the energy up to go clean the bike…killed a crap load of bugs yesterday…LOL. Long day.–

I recommend this windshield!

16 inch Light Grey Tint

Been riding my Springfield with the 16″ Freedom windshield and really enjoying it. I have the light grey tint, and it looks terrific. At 6″ tall, the stock windshield just wasn’t doing it and I was getting heavy winds at highway speed. I was able to use my stock windshield hardware, and only took 20-30 minutes to swap the windshield onto the hardware. The fit and finish is superb; better than the stock windshield. As a plus, there is no distortion caused by the flare windshield. John at Freedom Shields was very pleasant to work with for ordering. I recommend this windshield if you’re looking for something different other than stock on the Springfield. I certainly was, and glad I chose this one.

The quality is top shelf!

18 inch Light Grey Tint

After much research I was impressed with the reviews on Freedom Shields so I decided to order a shield for my wife’s HD Switchback. I really wanted a new lower shield for my Victory Cross Roads also but no luck. I wrote John an email hoping he had an HD shield that could be adapted to my XR. He responded with “send me your Victory shield and I’ll design a new shield”. Since I live an hour away I offered to bring the whole bike so he could see the set up and take measurements…. He agreed to meet on a weekend. The result of this experience is first a happy wife with an amazing quality shield on her Switchback that she can see over and keeps the wind off her head. And I have the first Freedom Shield for Victory. The quality is top shelf, I can easily see over it and wind management is great. And John was very fair on price and knows how to communicate with his customers. A Great product and awesome customer service. John and his team at Freedom Shields are the BEST.
