Freedom Shields windshield on my 2009 Fatboy with Nostalgic frame. Took a spin for about 20 minutes (it is only 37 degrees here in Wilmington, OH or I would have rode more). Got her up to well above freeway speed…the shield worked great. Thank you.

I absolutely love my Freedom Shields! While riding on the west coast of Florida on New Year’s day it was very windy with my stock windshield. The wind was “beating” me up and made for a not so fun ride! So when we returned home my husband said he would order me a Freedom Shields and what a difference it has made! Now on those windy days you don’t even notice! Freedom Shields rocks!!

You did an outstanding job on this and I appreciate it. It is really nice and works awesome. It is so much better than the stock one with the vent in it. Hi John Got the shield on Tuesday as promised. It installed like a dream and looks great. The trip to Leesburg Bikefest was a great success with the new shield. Its Florida’s Spring Love Bug Season so the shield most definitely took some punishment with smashed Love Bugs all over it. Better it than my face! A little water and a microfiber towel and good as new. The shield performed just as advertised allowing more air flow over the helmet and quieter air for the rider. It was refreshing to be able to hear the radio without running full volume and being able to hear my passenger better. For those reading the other comments and not paying attention to your recommended sizing ideas, I strongly recommend folks use the sizing tricks you listed with the cardboard. I’m 5’9″ and in reading some of the posts, some could think I should have gone with shorter than a 14 inch shield. However, I have a long torso so I made sure to follow the cardboard trick. 14 inch is dead on for me leaving plenty of unobstructed view over the shield. At night, I raise my smoked visor up on the helmet and just ride with my prescription glasses. Prior to this shield, they would bounce all over the place at speed. With the shield, they were perfectly still. Couldn’t be happier. Chances are you’ll see some more orders as one of my riding buddies with the same year RG loved the look. So did others at the fest.

I purchased a new recurve Road Glide windshield from Freedom Shields last week and it arrived yesterday. It is their 14″ in Light Grey. This is replacing the stock 15″ shield. I wanted one close to the height of the stock shield since I can look over that one and it gives me the wind protection I want. Prior to this I had a 16″ Klock Works, but I did not like it as the edge of the shield fell into my sight line so I had to sit as straight as possible to see over it. The Freedom shield is a very well made shield that has no distortions or imperfections and it comes with a bottom trim piece and well nuts attached. Fit was spot on and very easy to mount. The ride is great with the wind pushed up to the top of my helmet with no buffeting. I do like how well I can see around with the lower sheild and I am very pleased with the product as well as the way I was treated by John. They also offer to take back the shield as long as you do not remove the protective film. I mounted it with the film on and took it for a ride. Once I was satisfied with the performance I removed the film. The film is cut so you do not have to remove the shield to remove the film.

I love my new Freedom Shield! I sell Harleys for a living and I have rode behind most after market screens and Freedom Shield is the best! Other screens are thin and of poor materials. My last screen would flap wildly at speed and scratched easily. I can hear my radio better and smoke a cigarette at 80 ! If you own a Harley Road Glide do your self a favor and get one of these shields!
