I received my new Freedom Shield, 23″, medium-tinted, windshield today. I immediately installed it on my 2016 Harley FLSTC and took it for a short 30-mile ride. Wow! What a huge difference over the clear, 20″, after-market, windshield I’ve had on my bike for the past two years. The extra 3″ in height and re-curved top virtually eliminates all of the wind that spills over the top of the windshield and the 15% medium-tinting is awesome for significantly reducing the sun and glare that I previously had to contend with on my clear windshield.

Holy Cow!!!! Got the shield yesterday late and rushed to put it on and do my trial ride. It took about 40 seconds to find out that in fact your shields do what you say they will, 30 minutes later I was re-installing after pulling shipping plastic. This morning on the way to work it was pure pleasure riding down I-45 at 80mph..no bobble head, not near as much noise so I am back in my ½ helmet instead of full with a visor. Very glad we opted for 16” instead of 15” as I still look over top by a couple inches.. can’t wait to see what it does in the rain. You were spot on the light grey, makes the bike look great.
Couldn’t be happier with this shield Me: 5″10″, 32″ inseam. Bike: 2020 HD Road Glide Limited, stock seat. Shield: 16″ Touring, Light Grey Tint. I originally ordered a 17″ but found it was just a tad too tall. Returned for a 16″ with no problems at all. Great customer service. Very easy to install. Very impressed with quality – thicker than any other shield I have seen and much more optically clear, even in the curved areas. The wind passes cleanly over my helmet with no buffeting and much quieter. Don’t know what else to say except you owe it to yourself to get one.
Received the 16” windshield for my 2016 Road Glide today and installed as suggested, with the protective coating intact. Height is spot on, and the shield sits right where I wanted it to. Took a short ride and the wind is about 2.5 inches above my head (guesstimate as I was just sticking my hand up there) and I’m only getting a slight turbulence on the top of my head and it’s coming in from the sides. Got back home and pulled the protective layer and reinstalled and the shield is beautiful, with fantastic clarity. Took it for another short ride and can say that the difference in quality from my old shield is not even comparable, it’s true that you do get what you pay for sir! The part I wasn’t expecting was to see why the inside measurement is so important (from the dash to the tip of the shield). Compared to my old windshield, your product lays down more and extends more toward the rider and from the side it more closely follows the angle of the fairing. This makes it look 100% better to me, as it looks like it belongs on the bike instead of an afterthought by the engineers on the original design. John, I wanted to let you know how much I absolutely love my new windshield from Freedom Shields. Harley Davidson has designed, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful bikes ever made by the motor company. The only thing that they missed the mark on in my opinion was the factory windshield. After numerous direct hits from swarms of bees etc., I’m looking forward to many more miles with my Freedom Shield windshield. It has enhanced the riding experience greatly. I must include wind protection also reduction in noise which makes listening to my boom audio that much nicer, even at highway speeds. I want to thank you again for the laser etching. I think it looks beautiful, subtle and really stands out on this motorcycle. Thanks again for everything! I appreciate your attention to detail.
I bought a 16” light gray tinted windshield for my ’16 Roadmaster from you just before this last Memorial Day. You have definitely hit a home run. First off, I received this windshield in a timely manner. I was like a kid in a candy store when it arrived. And I couldn’t wait to put it on the bike. After putting in on the bike, I was a little skeptical about buying a 16 inch windshield because when I sat on the bike, I had it lower all the way, I was just seeing over the top of it. I was more worried on how it would affect my wife when she rode with me. Our first long trip with it on the bike was about 700 miles. I still had to raise it up for her. But there was literally no distortion for me looking through it. And the buffeting for both of us is almost nonexistent. I also had a chance to ride in a rainstorm. Once again, no real problems, besides looking through rain drops, with this windshield. Once again, thank you for making an outstanding product. And I do recommend your windshield to all my Indian owner friends.

I cannot say enough about the product and service from Freedom Shields. Being a little unsatisfied with the Indian 14” flare windshield (I was getting a little buffeting) I ordered the 16” for my Indian Chief. I had my concerns about style and function and left a message with John at Freedom Shields. He actually called back and spent some time answering my questions and helping me make a decision. He’s a great guy and really helpful. I actually ended up ordering the 12”, the 14”, and the 16”. I had the opportunity to try out all three shields. Note: I am 6’ 0”, or just a hair shy. The 12” looks awesome! I loved! If I had extra hardware, I would have kept it as a second shield. At 85 mph I took a little wind on the chest, and it felt good, but since I could only keep one, I wanted to maximize comfort at high speeds. The 14” is perfect. It’s a comfortable ride at reasonable speeds and does fine at 85 mph. For daily riding within a couple or few hundred miles, it’s perfect. Then I tried the 16” and it was magical. I don’t do cross-country rides or anything, but I wanted to be able to be comfortable if I decided to. The 16” has given me what I was truly seeking in style and comfort. It doesn’t dominate the aesthetic of the bike that some Indian shields do. The buffeting is gone, and I can lean back and relax at 85 mph (not that I always drive that way, but I can). That’s what I was looking for, maximum comfort at highway speeds without making my bike look silly with a huge shield. Freedom Shields made that possible in the best way possible. I’m absolutely delighted. I just installed my new light tint 14” windshield onto my 2016 Indian Chief Vintage in place of the original 19” factory windshield. Not only does it vastly improve the look of the bike; after braving the 30-degree weather here in Wisconsin for a brief ride, I’m happy to say it performs flawlessly as well. Installation couldn’t have been easier. All the holes lined up perfectly with the factory hardware, allowing me to do the swap in under an hour. Congratulations on designing and making available such an excellent product. Indian does not make available to their owners a windshield without also purchasing the complete hardware kit as well, at a price approaching $600, so I was very pleased to find that you make a much more cost-effective option available. Now my only issue is managing to get through the next few months of winter, so I can really put the windshield to the test. Thanks so much…I couldn’t be more pleased!!!
